Moment of Awesome - Julian Keller/Scion: In the aftermath of Fear in the Dark, Julian comforts his girlfriend.

Julian took one last look over his shoulder at the sun-porch, his brow furrowed at again not having found Tandy. She wasn't answering his texts and he didn't think going to Scott to ask to use the locator would be wise. Heading out onto the lawn, he pushed off the ground and began to lazily drift about ten feet up, racking his brain about where she could possibly be. Epiphany dawned as he thought back to the first place they'd actually met- and he took off up another 100 feet to be able to survey the rooftop of the manor house. "Gotchya," he muttered as he flew towards the rooftop landing pad, with that faded, all-weather couch. Silently he descended and floated a few feet off the ground, "Found you. I think that means it's my turn to hide- right?"

It felt nice to be outside, for the first time in months she felt like she could breathe again. Instead of watching someone else take control of her body and confine her into the depths of her mind. Wearing sweat pants and a shirt, Tandy was just listening to everything around her before she heard someone landing nearby and a familiar voice. Turning her head and gave Julian a tiny smile, "How long were you looking for me?"

"I woke up and you weren't there, so...an hour?" Julian shrugged and stood nearby, hands in his pockets, not wanting to sit in case she wanted to be by herself. "This feels familiar," the right side of his mouth quirked up in his trademark Keller smirk.

"Sorry. I just needed some fresh air. For reals this time." Remembering that was what Dweller said at the start of all of it. Tandy looked around, "I came up here the last time Dweller took possession and you found me. Funny how it just goes into a circle." Tandy moved over just a tiny bit to make room for him, "You don't have to stand or float."

Landing softly on the tarmac, Julian took a few steps forward, and sat down on the sofa, opening himself up for her to snuggle up next to him- despite the sweltering heat of the late summer day. "I always find you, Bow- you suck at hiding," he winked, "probably because you glow."

Tandy let go of her knees and leaned back. "I do, never really played it as a kid. Might be why I am so terrible." There was a pause, "It is nice. To be free again."

As she leaned into him, one of Julian's arms- ending with a gloved, mechanical hand- draped over her chest, just above her breasts. He pulled her close, trying not to over-do it, but also trying to provide some comfort. "You are- and will be from now on, if I have any say in the matter," he gave the top of her blonde head a soft kiss and brought his other hand over to stroke her arm.

"But I can still...feel him. Quiet. Asleep." She whispered and lifted her hand to the bridge of her nose. "No matter how many showers I take...it won't go away."

They were silent for a long moment, watching a flock of geese fly overhead, starting their journey south perhaps a bit earlier than was reasonable. "I wish I could make this better," Julian whispered.
