Moment of Awesome - Sooraya Qadir/Dust: Sooraya shares with Angelo Espinosa the fruits of several years' labour - her mutant powers training handbook.

“Is it... that book you were writing?”

"Close enough." Sooraya pulled the bound work from her bag and handed it to Angelo. "One basic powers training manual, all done. All the exercises in there are meant to be done without any special or impossible to get equipment. Some powers were easier then other, but I think it still can provide a lot of help in both the Underground and people who don't have access to what we have here at the mansion."

He took it and started leafing through. "This is great! What types of powers did you cover?"

"I tried to cover as wide a spectrum as possible, roughly sorted into types. So one section is are the psi's, which covers things like telepathy, telekinesis, empathy and other assorted powers, while the others covers energy projectors/manipulators, what I call molecular and enhanced physical abilities." Sooraya explained. "In the back there are the various oddballs powers, like teleportation, a bit on probability manipulation and things like that."

"But even teleportation's very variable", Angelo pointed out. "I don't think I've met two that do it exactly the same way."

"Very true, but even for those Moira and the Professor had suggestions for at least some basic exercises." Sooraya agreed. "I mean, I think this will always stay a work in progress, but it's at least a basic start."

"True enough", he said with a nod. "And if they need more tailored training, they can get it."

"Hopefully that is the case. But even if they can't, they at least have something. I did my research online... and the things you see there scared me. All kinds of bad advice and if someone is desperate enough, they might just turn to it." Sooraya tapped the manual. "Though I think the most difficult step with this is still gonna come."

"The Internet's full of bad advice." He raised his eyebrows. "Oh?"

"We need to get it to the people who need it... and figure out a way how it can stand out among all the terrible advice online. The networks of the Underground are one way to get the information out there, but even they cannot reach everyone." Sooraya shook her head. "And there might be security risks associated with it, if traced back to the mansion."

"Maybe we could get extracts published in Angel's newspaper", he suggested thoughtfully. "There's a few other possibilities, too."

"I like that idea. I was also thinking there might be links with the Claremont and other mutant friendly medical facilities." Sooraya sighed. "And though that might give it more legitimacy, I also wonder about the impact on it reaching people who really need it."

"Wouldn't that make it easier? People in mutant friendly places get hold of copies, make more copies, hand them out on the quiet..."

"That is a good point. And I do have a wide web of contacts among the various NGO's who might be sympathetic and helpful with handing things out. It's a middle way between just putting things out there on the web and make it something that is published officially."

"Exactly. These things have a way of getting to where they're needed, once they're out there."

"I am just gonna give it some thought. First I want to enjoy the idea that I have this first version done after like two years of work. Took me some weeks to really buckle down and pull it all together, but it's finally done."
