Details

Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.) is a terrorist organization led by a group of brilliant scientists whose sole dedication is to acquire and develop power through technological means. AIM primarily operates through third parties, selling advanced tech and weaponry and funding attacks by other groups on targets they have an interest in, particularly research and development, tech prototypes and advanced experiments. For the last five years, they've grown increasingly bold targeting SHIELD facilities and have stolen a significant amount of technology. Their success has made them both a major target of SHIELD and has fueled concerns inside the agency that AIM may have multiple agents embedded in their own ranks. AIM operations are characterised by the use of advanced weapons, robotics, cybernetically enhanced soldiers and an array of chemical munitions. To date, none of the senior scientists who lead AIM have been identified, although it is rumoured that the terrorist group dates back to the 50s or even earlier.
