As an entity fueled by research and development, eXcalibur does not require a cover to operate. While conflict may happen due to competing interests over items they seek to secure, the team does not actively look to engage in covert or paramilitary operations.
In 2022, eXcalibur's mission changed with the formation of an interdimensional wormhole in the basement of the chapel. Once the wormhole was stabilised, Clint and the rest of the team took on the task of monitoring the situation... and found themselves intervening in situations where a dimension had destabilised and needed some correction to return it back to its normal state.
