Another view of the incident on December 18, 2003 where Alex's powers went out of control and seriously injured Lorna.

A stirring in the back of her mind brought her to the window. To a clearing on the far side of the school, where two people walked in the distance.

Snips and snails, and puppy dogs' tails

A boy.

Sugar and spice, and everything nice.

And a girl with green hair.

She quirked her lips at the couple, talking together. An eager smile fell upon her lips. She licked them hungrily, waiting.

There was a scream. Fire. The ghosted smell of sweet flesh burning. And Kwannon's heart fluttered and soared in the ruin.
