Daughter of two Hollywood actors, Karolina had the kind of childhood most dream of and and when she came to [[Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters]] in [[February 2006]] after manifesting in her high school, it was something of a shock. Much younger than most of the other students at the time of her arrival, she was somewhat isolated and as she grew older she became hostile and uncooperative, wanting only to return to her old school and refusing to have anything to do with the [[New Mutants]] student training team or her peers. In [[June 2009]], she finally got her wish after making a deal with her parents and returned to California. However, her powers are still largely untrained and life as a visible mutant is rarely safe, especially for one in the public eye.
