Biography
Dr. Rocca, at 48, is a leading expert in the field of vulcanology and the department head at UH Hilo. A proud native Hawaiian, her motivations in bringing about the Living Pele were the same as her daughter's, that the original monarchy of the islands be restored and the people of Hawaiian protected with no real wish to hurt anyone.
Following the incident, she found much of her life in tatters, as publicity regarding the threats made had damaged her career. Her current status is unknown.
