Plot Summary
Illyana, trying to swipe a box of chocolate bars via teleportation had a powers accident which sent her - and a selection of random mansionites - into the hell dimension of Limbo where she'd grown up and without the energy to teleport back. They immediately were set upon by zombies - and Miles found a giant sword - and had to fight their way out before finding a cave to shelter in and regroup. Illyana was forced to explain her childhood as a means of explaining the accident and warned the group not to trust anything they encountered. There was also the corrupting effect of Limbo to contend with, with Rahne finding herself stuck in her transitional werewolf form, Amadeus acting completely unlike himself and Warren getting peeved and stomping off on his own. In typical Warren fashion, he made matters worse when he encountered what he thought was Felicia Hardy but who revealed herself to be a demonic version - this didn't stop Warren from being seduced by her.
The next day, they set out, heading for a 'good place' Illyana remembered that might have the magical energy to help her teleport them home. Along the way they encountered a chasm that required them to solve a puzzle to cross and a cluster of gargoyles and demons they had to fight off. There were challenges of another nature as well, as they found themselves having to deal with personal issues such as Miles' kiss with Bobby, Rahne's concerns about the safety of the mansion and Gabriel and Illyana's respective childhoods. They passed a second night safely and reached the 'good place' which was a garden that Illyana's version of Wanda Maximoff had created as a sanctuary.
Of course, it wasn't as easy as reaching the place - it was guarded by Carnage, a creature as much liquid as solid and which attacked as soon as Illyana began meditating to summon the remaining power in the garden to boost her own. Warren and Rahne protected her while Miles, Amadeus, Topaz and Gabriel fought the creature; they defeated it, only for it to reappear in another form. Topaz draining Gabe's emotions as an energy source without her usual asking for permission and eventually Carnage was defeated by a rejuvenated Illyana, after which she teleported them home.
