Plot Summary

Ashley and Jessie drink mocktails at Silver while Melody and Gabe connect at a bar. A scream from the bathroom reveals an unconscious girl with a panicked friend. Ashley checks her breathing, Jessie fetches Narcan, and 911 is called. Ashley revives the girl, but nearby plants move unnaturally and the girl’s skin turns pale blue-green. Gabe calms the friend, Mel prepares to assist, and a mysterious pill is slipped into the purse.

X-Factor Investigations arrives amid police and medics. Arthur reassures Mel; Inez lets Arthur scan the scene. Mel declines a ride home to avoid Sam. Gabriel and Quentin meet outside and Gabe reports a violent, possibly mutant-triggered transformation tied to the overdose. Quentin vows to investigate the new drug.

Sam comforts Ashley and Jessie, promising community support after fears of anti-mutant backlash. He later confronts Mel, who avoids him, but their tense call ends in comfort.

The next day, Arthur and Quentin interview Veronica, who says a Southern-accented man sold the victim a drug. Quentin verifies via telepathy. The drug appears targeted at mutants.

Sam, posing undercover at Silver, handles another overdose with Narcan.

Mel recruits Ashley, Jessie, and Sharon to try to find out more information. They give a lead – an address – to XFI.

Arthur and Sue find a burner phone during an abandoned building search, triggering Arthur’s vision of a plot involving a Reverend, a drug trial, and scientist Sarah Palmer. Further investigation reveals The Purifiers are running “Operation Noah,” a genocidal drug scheme. Quentin requests help from the X-Men to stage a raid on a Brooklyn drug lab.

Quentin and Sooraya spy on the Purifiers’ HQ; when exposed, Madin and Nica fight guards to cover their retreat as sirens approach.

More secretly, Quentin conspires with Gabriel to salvage drug samples for an antidote before destroying the lab to keep the info from the government, enforcing their own justice.
