Part 1 of the Horseman Arc
Did we really just barely escape a town turned into a mindless horde, and think it was a good idea to take on a passenger from said town?
When the small Kenyan city of Marsabit suddenly goes quiet, X-Force (with some consulting experts) go to investigate.

Timing
Plot Summary
Following the Kenyan government announcing the Marsabit National Park closed to visitors and flights in and out of Marsabit suspended, X-Force investigated the Marsabit situation to determine if it was related to the A.I.M. base in the city. Kitty, Jean and Angelo were brought along for their various skills and contacts. Upon landing Felicia, Kevin, and Kitty targeted the A.I.M. site and found everyone there dead. Darcy, Angelo and Sarah tried to access the CCTV records and found surveillance of what seemed to be zombies. Amanda, Gabriel and Jean discovered bodies that look to be pulled apart at the hospital as well as a survivor. Kitty confirmed a zombie situation happened in the city at the AIM location and all three teams were attacked by ambulatory dead bodies intent on pulling them apart. Their retreat to the plane was barely successful and they flew to Muir Island with the survivor and the data obtained from the A.I.M. site.
The news from Muir was good and bad. On the positive side, the "infection" was not any kind of naturally occurring disease or one that was capable of being manufactured. All samples were rendered completely inert as soon as they left Marsabit, which meant that a new global plague was not imminent. However, it was clearly a magical or mutant attack on the city, by person or persons unknown and the CCTV images retrieved were extremely glitchy. The only clue was a grainy image of an unturned person walking the streets hours after the infection.
