Leyu Yoshida: Younger sister of Shiro Yoshida, Leyu was raised by him and her cousins after the death of her parents when she was four. When she was nine, Shiro was disowned by one of those cousins, the Yakuza boss known as the Silver Samurai. Knowing Leyu was also a mutant and concerned she would be corrupted where she was, Shiro brought her to the only safe place he knew - Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The intervening years passed, not without incident (a kidnapping attempt and an encounter with dinosaurs) and Leyu settled in well among the younger students. In August 2009, Leyu manifested the same powers as her brother. He was more worried about it than she was, fear for her safety combining with other factors to ultimately result in a breakdown. Now, with her protective onii-san recovering on Muir Island and living in Attilan with brand-new powers of her own, Leyu has the chance to step into the spotlight.
