Biography
Batroc is a former member of GIGN; a la savate champion in his teens who joined the French military and later into the special forces. He was chosen for the French version of the super soldier program, which involved extensive bio-mechanical augmentation. His bones were reinforced, his muscles powered by bio-dense weaves, and his quick twitch muscles augmented by neuro-electrical boosters. Unfortunately, the increased bio-electrical load affected his mind, turning him into a bi-polar, manic, sociopath. He escaped the French military and set himself up as a mercenary and an assassin for hire.
He encountered X-Force when they discovered he had been hired by the Mandarin to participate in a series of thefts of ancient Chinese artifacts.
