Pyro: John "Pyro" Allerdyce was the eldest of five children in a working class Catholic family in Chicago. John became the "man of the house' when his father died shortly after the birth of John's youngest brother and eventually joined a gang in his neighborhood. While cooking dinner for his siblings one night, John accidentally started a fire and manifested when he simply told the fire to stop - and it did. During an incident with a rival gang, John used his powers, resulting in reprisals from both the other gang members and police. As a condition of his parole, John was sent to Xavier's shortly after his fifteenth birthday. When John arrived at Xavier's, he was a sullen, unfriendly boy. Despite his irritable disposition, John still managed to form friendships with Kitty Pryde and Bobby Drake. The addition of Rogue to their group a year later created a great deal of friction as John watched Marie and Bobby's relationship begin and had to deal with his own romantic feelings towards Bobby. John continued to become more reckless in the use of his powers during the events of X2 and began lashing out at those around him before joining Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants. Despite his defection, John continued to keep in touch with the school via the journals and instant messaging. When Cyclops received intelligence that John and another Brotherhood member were being sent on a suicide mission, the X-Men intervened and brought an unconscious John back to the mansion. Though unhappy with his situation, John remained at the school and resumed his loner persona, with new students aware that he had joined Magneto willingly. He was able to reconcile his friendships with Marie and Kitty, though his relationship with Bobby settled into an uncomfortable truce at best. He had a brief physical relationship with Angelo Espinosa that was over almost before it began. Since leaving Xavier's to move in with friends in Salem Center, John has been studying to become a teacher at Westchester College. He is actively involved with a pro-mutant group on campus and still keeps in touch with Kitty via email. Unlike many pyrokinetics, John only has the ability to control and manipulate fire. Due to this inability to generate flames, John always carries a silver Zippo lighter. John has phenomenal control over his power, though at times his anger has still caused him to lose control of his abilities. This character is currently unplayed, but is open for applications.
