Biography
Esteban Carlos Djugashvili Trotsky was found on the steps of Guadalajara Santa Monica Church, on 13 October, 1980. He spent the next 3 years in a religious orphanage before being adopted by a de-frocked nun, Maria Teresa Ramirez.
His original name was shed in a beautiful ceremony held by a commander of a guerilla unit of the Revolutionary Clandestine Workers' Union Party of the People (which his foster mother had joined) and is now tragically lost to the annals of history.
When he was 14 years old, Esteban mugged a Swedish tourist in Mexico City and using the ill-gotten gains (and his mother’s contacts) had himself smuggled to Europe.
After several years of largely aimless wanderings and a brief stint with the Basque Homeland and Freedom organization he met Farouk in Paris, in 1997, and was hired as the latter’s manservant. The two have been together in an amicably heterosexual relationship ever since.
Esteban accompanied Farouk to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, confusing the mansion population with his exact relationship to Farouk. In the course of his time there, he began a brief relationship with Mark Sheppard, which was ended rather abruptly during the Shadow King incident where Esteban shot Mark, protecting Farouk from the X-Force squad sent to kill the possessed telepath. He joined Farouk in his wanderings, supporting him as much as he was able and assisting the team that went to the Bahamas to help save the world from Baron Zemo and the Masters of Evil.
Esteban's loyalty to Farouk was to prove his undoing - following Farouk despite instructions to remain where he was, he was killed in Pakistan by a pyrokinetic, protecting his friend to the end.
