Sometimes one plot isn't enough to tell a story and thus the plot arc is born. Plots arcs are discrete plots which, combined together, tell a wider tale, focussing on a particular character or theme. They require at a mimimum three plots to be considered an arc, although in some situations there is significant ongoing development outside of the plots, such as with the Emplate arc.
Some plot arcs in X-Project have been:
- The Kwannon Arc by Dex and Jazz.
- The Go Tell The Spartans arc by Alicia.
- The Tomorrow's Children arc by Alicia.
- The Bleeding Arc by Tapestry.
- The The Prince of Thieves arc by Dex.
- The Lost In The Woods Arc and Hellfire and Damnation Arc joint arcs by Rossi and Alasdair.
- The Kingmaker Arc arc by Dex.
- The Taygetos Arc arc by Alicia.
- The Kemono Arc arc by Ben.
