Introduction: Somewhere More Familiar

On the surface, an environmental welfare group, Nascor Associates has dabbled in eugenics, specifically the production of 'beneficial' mutations, in a program that resulted in the birth of Jane Doe.

Roster

  • H. J Weston: Noted environmentalist and philanthropist, Weston founded the group with his own capital.
  • Harlan Mcabbe: aged 57, PR on the Well Earth Project.
  • Elisha Quinan - aged 39, head of telepathic security at New Hope.
  • James Dwyer - aged 25, telepathic security at New Hope, fried a fractious Jane and dumped her off in the middle of New York.

Details

Nascor Associates - Large consulting firm that provides information and resources to organizations and institutions on how to 'go green' at a manageable and sustainable pace. Founded on capital from noted environmentalist, philanthropist, and elderly kook H. J. Weston, Nascor is a largely self-sustaining organization at this point with a respected international profile and acts as a front for Weston's primary pet project - The Well Earth - which 'cultivates' beneficial mutations to help save the Earth through natural and science-assisted means (e.g.: genetic selection, IVF, etc.) Funding and resources for Well Earth are channeled through New Hope and VGLH. Most employees at Nascor, while aware that there is a higher than normal human/mutant employee ratio, are not aware of the Well Earth Project or it's mission.

New Hope Health and Science Center - A large, seemingly innocuous health center, not unlike a Kaiser facility. Possesses an emergency clinic that is open to the public on the first floor, second, third, and fourth floors are for specialized treatment centers, the fifth floor is reserved for a special department for mutant health needs that is largely unadvertised. Six, seven, and eight are ostensibly facility offices, but eight is actually an overnight/residential floor, and nine is 'specialized security' (telepathic crowd control, etc.) The facility has several links to obvious charitable causes, donating services and resources to a number of organizations that largely deal with under served populations, as well as VGLH ('due to proximity'). Is considered to be somewhat revolutionary with its emphasis on the use of green technology whenever and wherever possible, and has strong ties to Nascor.
