Warren's relationship with his parents has always been difficult. His father's work and his mother's socialite demands made them distant when he was young, and he spent much of his time in boarding school. As an adult, his hedonistic lifestyle frustrated and shocked them. It wasn't until a very public breakdown that Worthington Senior decided enough was enough and fired his son from his position at Worthington Industries and disowned him.
