November 5 - Fred Dukes' birthday
2004: Alex talks to Shiro about moving out. Alex confesses to Lorna that he and Shiro kissed months ago. Amanda goes to talk to Emma about Manuel and his involvement with the Hellfire Club. Jubilee asks Nathan to help her learn to think instead of react. Clarice tries to arrange a fencing team but discovers mutants aren't allowed to compete in tournaments.
2005: One-Eyed King: Moira goes to Seattle to help Jean with Scott; Scott discovers he can now control his powers in his remaining eye; Jean and Moira discuss how this might be; Scott discovers the joy of colours; Clarice makes a remark in her journal which is taken badly by Jean and Alex. Lorna tells Manuel about Malice and he discovers she isn't afraid of him any more and they argue about the incident in the kitchen. Catseye makes Marius feed when he pushes himself too hard. Wanda goes to visit the Pack.
2006: Dogs of War: Mark and Amanda discuss Josh in the airport - neither is taking it well; the team return to New York. The Gates: Medusa and Angelo visit the school and get hints of some kind of demonstration happening; Rahne and Nathan discuss the enormity of the task ahead of them. Pietro and Crystal renew their acquaintance. Clarice attends her first (and last) meeting of M.O.N.S.T.E.R. Lorna makes dinner for Jennie and the subject of the older woman's significant weight loss is glossed over.
2007: Farouk queries an unnamed paper. The trainees have a debriefing of their own, care of Forge's additions to Boiler Beach. Kyle visits Angelo and is thanked for saving his life.
2008: Karolina is angry about Prop 8 - the non-recognition of gay marriage - being passed in California, her home state. Jean-Paul Beaubier returns to the school and reintroduces himself on the journals. Jean-Paul runs into Kurt and they talk about old times.
2009: Angelo posts obscurely about the accident with Fred; Monet finds Callie in the greenhouse and berates her for apparently not caring about Fred's condition. Manuel invites Garrison to a poker game for the following night and the two discuss the Hellfire Club. Kyle goes to see Jay about fixing his ceiling fan and while doing so, tries to apologize, only to have the topic changed and the two talk about instincts and how to go against them. Jay catches up with Lex while jogging and the two bond. Amanda announces Guy Fawkes Night on her journal and that she'll be celebrating on the brownstone roof if people want to join her.
