About

Karen "Frito" Lawrence is currently an active player of X-Project. She began playing Marie-Ange Colbert in May of 2003, and Kyle Gibney in October of 2004. She currently acts as one of the admins for the Xproject wiki, and has been a mod of the game twice previously, retiring from her most recent tenure as a mod in April 2017. She also hosts and maintains the webpage and is generally responsible for dealing with the technical end of any of the webpage-y things for the game.

A former resident of Baltimore and the Washington DC Area, she now lives in San Marcos, CA (a bit north of San Diego) - she hates snow and shoes, and loves seafood, tea and math. She lives with Twiller and their son "Typechip", born in February 2014, and has a truly astounding number of stuffed animals for someone who is in her forties.

She also claims to be 1/4 allosaurus.

Sooraya texts Angel demanding details about Clint. Matt posts about being hungover. The Good Samaritan: Sharon F.is arrested and questioned by SHIELD; Rogue and Sue prepare to go rescue Sharon F., and interrupt the interrogation; after they talk to Sharon F.about her options. Alison posts about the VMA countdown; she texts Amadeus about setting up the project for the viewing party. Angel tells Gabriel about her and Clint. Gabriel posts about going to Harry's. Jay and Forge confront Nick about his intentions towards Catseye and though Nick makes the situation incredibly awkward by comparing her to his sister, Forge and Jay recognize he is not trying to take advantage of her and agree to help him figure her out should he need it. Jeanne-Marie gets some company from Kurt when she goes to pray on the roof and the two discuss siblings and forgiveness. Nick is reflecting on his encounter with Forge and Jay when he meets Kyle on the stairs and goes through the whole situation of being threatened about hurting Catseye one more time. Nathan and Jean-Paul discuss Jean-Paul's feelings over the return of his sister to his life and Nathan suggests moving forward rather than dwelling on the past, which leads to a discussion of ghost stories. Adrienne posts announcing her return from Boston. 2010: Jubilee drops by to visit X-Factor and chats with Vanessa. 2011: Doug and Adrienne discuss baseball and the Hellfire Club over drinks. 2012: Half An Ocean Away: Angel and Scott arrive in London and Blaine meets them at the airport; Scott, Blaine, and Angel search Chloe’s neighbourhood and run into James; Scott, Blaine, and Angel talk to James about what’s going on; Angel vents about what’s going on; Scott posts to the X-Men comms about getting a team together to help Angel and him retrieve the kidnapped people from the sewers; the team has a briefing; James takes the team to find Chloe in the sewers; Wildchild fights a telekinetic; Penance and Nightcrawler fight a super-strong mutant; Firestar fights a waterbender; Cyclops and Polaris fight Fin; Chloe and Angel talk about Angel’s being a mutant and patch things up; Angel posts to say she’s staying in England until Saturday. 2013: 2014:

Moment of Awesome - Sarah Rushman/Marrow: At the Paris Hellfire Club,Sarah and Darcy Lewis have a simple - or not so simple - job. Take out the guards, find the key to the security office and wrench back control of the systems. "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong," Sarah muttered as they rushed toward the door to the basement. She had abandoned her pressed white uniform coat back in the security room, it would only get in the way for what they needed to do. In her right hand was a bone pulled from her shoulder, blunt and bloody. "Maybe next time we should do the hard way first, just to save time." Darcy let out a soft snort of agreement, finally managing to get one of the weapons hidden in her dress free. The blade was a small, unassuming thing, not long enough to kill on its own... but it didn't need to, not with the thin channel of poison that ran down the middle, only able to be released with the slide of a discreet section on the hilt. "I liked this gown," she murmured quietly, giving the tatters hanging from knee to hem - ripped to enable quicker movement - a mournful look. She wasn't the only one who had liked the gown either. "Next time maybe I'll play staff so my pretty stuff doesn't get taken or ruined." She slowed as they got closer to the known grouping of guards. "How do you want to tackle this? Up close isn't my best thing, but I can follow your lead. I'm not without tricks to make them regret touching us, at least." "I can go in hot. If we can get them to underestimate you, we can use that to our advantage." She wished the guards were on the inside of this door-- it would have attracted less attention-- but that didn't matter now. If they didn't get to that switch, everyone was fucked. "Take out the guards, find the key, save our asses." Sarah rushed forward then, hoping to take as much attention off Darcy as possible. She swung at the head of one guard, who dodged back and into another guard behind them. Darcy slipped to the side as Sarah went in swinging, grappling with a third guard. They got an arm around her neck, but a few grunts and twists later she'd pulled them forward with her, left leg behind them and knife sliding through pants into soft skin. Her thumb slid up the hilt of the knife enough to deliver a few drops of the poison before sliding back and out, right hand still keeping a firm grip on the arm around her neck. She dropped the knife behind her and swung upward with her now free hand, channeling a taser's worth of voltage - split between her hands - into the groin and forearm of the guard, keeping both hands pressed tightly against flesh and clothing until they slumped to the ground, muscles twitching erratically. Her knife got stowed carefully back into the sheath sewn into her dress before she started rifling through the guard's pockets and taking anything that looked remotely useful before stepping clear to join Sarah. "No key on this one." "Damn," Sarah grunted, ramming with a bony shoulder into a guard's midsection. Another guard lay slumped against the wall and bleeding from the temple. Not dead, but Sarah suspected that concussion was going to make it difficult for him to follow if he came to. She heard the guard above her pull something from a holster she hadn't noticed before, and jammed the bone hard against his kneecap. The knee hyperextended under the force of the blow, and the shot flew wide. "Heads up!" she called, and rolled out of the way.
