Eyebrows rising, Stephen reached for the cart he'd been using to restock the rooms and pulled out a box of Bandaids. "Well, I can help disinfect the scratches, at least, but if your ribs are bothering you that much, I actually will go ahead and call Doctor Voght so she can do an x-ray because bruised or cracked, you're gonna want some kind of medication so they won't hurt as bad."
Pulling off his shirt with another wince, Liam nodded, "Cat scratches," he clarified, moving to a table in an exam area, though he wasn't entirely sure he could get up to sit on it when he got there. Ugh. This was already annoying.
Stephen pulled his mobile from his pocket to dial Amelia as he swiped some chlorhexidine swabs. A brief conversation later and she'd assured him she was on her way down to the MedLab. Nudging a stool over toward Liam, Stephen laid out all his supplies. "Are any of the scratches bothering you more than the others?"
"Not really? They all hurt. But these look worse?" Liam indicated the ones on his right side. "But I'm breathing? It hurts, but it's not... difficult. Does that make sense?"
"It does," Stephen said, opening one of the swabs. "Do you have any allergies or a healing factor I should know about, before we get started?"
He shook his head. "No healing factor, " that was why Shatterstar had insisted on the medlab. "No allergies to medication. I'm sensitive to air particulates and I got pneumonia once that had to be treated with both human and cat medications."
"Excellent," Stephen said, nodding as he began disinfecting the cuts on Liam's side. "Thank you for that information. I'm sure it's all in your file, but I don't have access to that - not until I'm an actual MD, anyway. These cuts are shallow enough, I don't think they'll need stitches. But Doctor Voght will be able to give you a much better estimation once she gets down here. Seems like you've got a good friend there - would you like him to stay with you while you're here?"
"It's up to him," Liam was annoyed that his suitemate had carried him to the medlab instead of letting him walk. He would have gone. But he also kinda appreciated that Star cared.
"I'll stay," Shatterstar said with a resolute nod. "If that's okay with Liam." He was grateful that Liam's injuries didn't seem bad.
Liam nodded, he didn't mind and if Shatterstar felt better staying, then sure. He was taken a few minutes later to get xrays, but the wait wasn't long to get the results. Fortunately, no broken ribs. "Well, that's something good at least," he commented.
Having finished restocking the few bay rooms they had in the MedLab, Stephen looked up from where he was cutting tubing and smiled. "Great. You get the extra strong Tylenol, per Doctor Voght's instructions. I know she probably covered this with you already, but remember you can double up on Tylenol and Advil, if the pain's that bad. Alternating, of course." Stephen stood up and moved over to the medication dispenser. His login wasn't able to get more than the over the counter meds out and any overrides had to be approved by one of the MDs. Still, it was nice he could finish up and Amelia didn't have to stay to do more than charting.
Stephen handed the bottles to Liam a moment later. "Take care."
2015: Amara asks for help setting up an instagram account and learning to use it. Angel emails Doug asking for his help setting up an untraceable email and Twitter account.
2016: Molly crowdsources Halloween costume ideas. Wade sounds the taco alarm. Morningstar: Bobbi and Warren prep for a business meeting in Japan, then celebrate after.
2018: Hope meets the Mansion’s newest inhabitant: Betsy Braddock. Topaz and Doug talk about things. It leads to Doug trying to celebrate National Vodka Day by having one drink and paying for it.
2019:Matt shares his favorite October things and asks the mansion goers what theirs is.
2021:Arise, X-Man: Darcy visits Laurie at her request and gets given some rather intense information.
2022: Gabriel emails Marie-Ange to give her his latest report. After reminding the mansionites about cultural appropriative Halloween costumes being wrong, Maya shares a swing video.
2023:A Haven to Call Home: Terry texts Sooraya & Angelo about the person taking over from Azah with the Mutant Underground. Clint texts Kyle asking about the deceased rooster.
2024: Kyle announces a series of fun activities for the weekend to boost morale. Humanis Honoribus Amicis: Hope A. recruits Quentin to help her get information on the Friends of Humanity for her plan. Kyle introduces Gaia to her new roommate, Laura.
2004: Scott has nightmares and talks to Madelyn, who suggests going to Charles. Lorna's mother is in a car accident and Lorna and Alex go to California; Alex and Lorna's father talk about the powers accident. Alison talks to Scott about her doubts about being a good X-Man. One To The Chest: Marie-Ange talks to Scott about her dreams of Doug being shot and why Doug is so moody lately. Illyana and Kitty fight over Lockheed. Clarice continues her quest for a school fencing team.
2005: Terry and Bobby discuss their (lack of) sex life.
2006: Yvette moves into her new room and meets Laurie and Angel. She also introduces herself on the journals. Tommy saves Sooraya from chemical poisoning in a cleaning mishap. Kyle gets another ransom note for his pig pillow. Mommy Dearest Redux: Nathan hires Amanda to do Elpis research for him in Germany.
2007: Nathan returns from Tel Aviv and Muir Island Research Facility, and Angelo is unhappy when he casually mentions going to Khartoum and getting shot at; a talk is fairly unproductive as Angelo feels he is being left behind by those he cares about and Nathan feels stifled. Laurie emails Scott about her status as a trainee. Jennie meets Kevin and catches up with Jay.
2008: Remy and Betsy meet in Paris and Betsy tries to convince him to come back to New York, without success.
2010: Jean helps Meggan find her notebook after class and they talk about Meggan's plans for the future.
2011: Wade announces Taco Appreciation Day and invites people to join him in the kitchen for taco-y goodness. X-Factor Investigation: Cat vs. Bird: Adrienne and Warren track their missing teen to a shelter for mutants and run across Callisto, who reluctantly agrees to help.
2012: Marie-Ange posts saying she's going to stop being hermit, and insists someone join her for lunch. Adrienne posts celebrating her victory in fantasy baseball. Maddie texts Marie-Ange insisting they go to the Bronx Zoo.
2014: Tandy and Julian have coffee in town, her past is revealed and plans are made for their future. Tandy texts Sue that whatever she hears isn’t real. Higher Than Hope: The interns are given a new challenge.
Operation: Salt The Earth: A specialist operation means the four "elders" of X-Force (plus Dom) have to infiltrate a conference in the closed science city of Koltsovo. Without their powers.
Family Reunion: Sometimes the past just won't stay buried. And sometimes people insist on digging it up, as Topaz discovers.
